Professor Schilling appointed as lead for clinical cardiovascular research at brand new cardiovascular centre

London Bridge Hospital Consultant Cardiologist Professor Richard Schilling, has been appointed as the lead for clinical cardiovascular research, at a newly proposed cardiovascular centre at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital.
The new centre, set to be one of the largest cardiovascular sites in the country, is the result of a potential merger between The Heart Hospital and the cardiovascular centre at the St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, which has recently been approved by NHS England.
Professor Schilling is the director of research at London Bridge Hospital’s Atrial Fibrillation centre (The London AF Centre), which specialises in treating complex cardiac arrhythmia problems. The centre also has an international reputation for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
